A Field of Interest fund of the Williamsport-Lycoming Community
Foundation
About the Plunketts Creek Township Foundation
The Plunketts Creek Township Foundation was founded in
1944 to "promote and maintain a charitable and
benevolent organization in Plunketts Creek Township,
Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, to assist the needy and
to foster the moral, educational, recreational, and
social interests of the people living in and adjacent to
the said township, and other associated . . .
activities." Aided by a substantial gift from the late
Charles S. Whipple, the fund exists to serve the needs
of the township.
The Plunketts Creek Township Foundation makes grants to
charitable organizations for community needs that have
been recommended by the Plunketts Creek Township
Foundation Committee. The Committee makes
grant award recommendations to the First Community
Foundation of Pennsylvania's Board of Directors.
